Sautéed Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Green Beans
  • 1 Red Onion ((medium sized))
  • 2 tbs Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Snap off the ends of your fresh green beans, and run them through cool water to rinse them off
  2. Slice your red onion. You should have pieces about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, heat up the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the red onion and sauté for two minutes.
  4. Add in your green beans and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add in the salt, pepper, and garlic, and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add in your 1/4th cup of water, turn the flame down to medium/low, and cover for 10 minutes. 
  7. Remove lid and stir. Serve.
